Headphones
Do not turn the volume on to full at switch on and listen
l
to music at moderate levels. Excessive sound pressure
from earphones and headphones can cause hearing
loss.
Before plugging in or unplugging the headphone,
l
reduce the volume.
Be sure your headphone has a 3.5 mm diameter plug
l
and impedance between 16 and 50 ohms. The
recommended impedance is 32 ohms.
Plugging in the headphone disconnects the speakers
l
automatically. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME
control.
Audio from the iPod/iPhone cannot be heard via the
l
headphones connected to the unit. "HP INVALID" will
be displayed if you connect the headphones when the
iPod/iPhone function is selected.
Troubleshooting chart
Many potential problems can be resolved by the owner
without calling a service technician.
If something is wrong with this product, check the following
before calling your authorized PIONEER dealer or service
centre.

Is the DAB/FM aerial placed

properly? Move the aerial
away from the AC power lead if
it is located nearby.
Check the connections, and

adjust the location and position
of aerial. After that, execute
Auto Scan function manually
(page 39).
Adjust the location and

position of aerial with Tuning
Aid function (page 39).
If the reception environment

changed by removal, etc.,
execute Auto Scan function
manually (page 40).
