Who is responsible for the independent heating system?
The owner or occupant is responsible for the system.
What does "Self-diagnosis" mean?
Self-diagnosis means having immediate information related to any operating errors which occur, whether
temporary (these can be resolved automatically by the boiler) or persistent (these require the
intervention of an authorised Assistance Centre). Clas thanks to its microprocessor and CLIMA
MANAGER, is able to provide complete information relating to "volatile" errors and safety shut-offs,
indicated on the digital multifunctional display.
What is the CLIMA MANAGER?
The Clima Manager is an exclusive system which can be used to control the more advanced functions of
the boiler: from climatic thermoregulation with an external sensor to weekly programming, and from self-
diagnosis to monitoring operating parameters. The remote control also enables the user to interact with
the boiler from his/her favourite room; by installing it in the most suitable place it is possible to submit
commands from a distance.
What is continuous modulation in a gas boiler?
In gas boilers with continuous modulation, the quantity of gas requested may vary constantly between a
minimum and a maximum value, and can assume any value within this interval. This enables the boiler
to operate exactly at the requested power level based on environmental conditions, assuring greater
consistency in the temperature of the hot water produced as a result.
Why should I buy a sealed-chamber boiler?
In a sealed-chamber boiler the combustion circuit is completely cut off from the room in which the boiler
is installed. This solution guarantees maximum safety, because it is physically impossible for the
combustion products to contaminate the outside environment.
How many efficiency stars does Clas have?
In accordance with the directive 92/42/EEC, which evaluates boilers on the basis of combustion
efficiency, Clas has been awarded three stars.
Where is the boiler instruction manual?
It is supplied with the boiler and is considered to be an integral part of the appliance.
Does Clas have anti-freeze protection?
Of course, on both the Central Heating side and the Domestic Hot Water side, on two temperature
levels. The anti-freeze protection system operates on two temperature levels. When the heating sensor
detects a temperature lower than 8°C, the pump is activated in heating mode; however, when the
temperature detected is lower than 3°C, the burner is activated at its minimum power level and If the
temperature detected by the "storage sensor" drops under 10°C the boiler pump and the Domestic Hot
Water Pump start at the maximum speed, and the burner works at minimum power.
How - and by whom - is the guarantee certificate activated?
It is activated by the Technical Assistance Centre, after the form provided has been filled out when the
boiler is switched on for the first time.
How often should the boiler be serviced?
Adhere to current legislation (this may vary, depending in which country the boiler is installed). In Italy
the service frequency can be established by consulting Appendix "L" of the Law Decree number 192
dated 19/08/2005, which imposes different frequencies depending on the type of boiler, its age and the
type of fuel used.
Type "C" boilers which have been installed for less than 8 years or type "B" boilers installed

outdoors should be fully serviced every 4 years.
Type "B" boilers installed indoors or power generators under 35 kW which have been installed for
o
over 8 years must be fully serviced every 2 years.
Boilers operating with liquid or solid fuel should be serviced every year regardless of the power
o
level, as should gas boilers with heating power greater than 35 kW.
This work should be performed by qualified companies. The company will issue a document after
o
each procedure, which the user must then keep in a safe place.
