5. Installation Procedure

Remove all outer packaging and carefully dispose of.

Remove top casting and carefully set aside.

Remove the upper and lower cast doors and carefully set aside.

Remove package containing vortex cap and handles etc. from within upper chamber and

carefully set aside.

If using the Firenzo insulated floor protector position it now following instructions supplied.

Accurately position the fire onto the floor protector ensuring all necessary safety clearances

are adhered to along with the correct alignment of the flue system to the flue spigot outlet.

Fit top casting on to fire box ensuring a good seal to the rope bed and again check alignment

of flue system and clearances.

Assemble and install the flue system, also ensuring all necessary safety clearances are

adhered to. A flue sealing shim is provided to help seal the flue system to the flue spigot

outlet if required. See flue installation section 6 for flue specifications.

Install the special Firenzo double flue shield to the flue system above the appliance following

the instructions supplied.

Secure the fire (and floor protector if necessary) to the floor by using appropriate

fastenings for the substructure, through the earth quake restraints on the rear legs. This is

a compulsory New Zealand building code requirement.

The boiler at the rear of the appliance can be orientated left or right outlet to suit the

easiest plumbing connection. Simply undo the four retaining bolts, turn boiler around and

re-secure it (checking rope seals are in place) with the four bolts.

Make necessary plumbing connections, fill with water and check for no leaks.

Fit the upper and lower doors and check they swing freely and seal correctly.

Remove vortex cap from package and install into vortex tube in the upper chamber. The

locating tabs on the underside ensure correct alignment into tube and the side of the of

vortex cap with the closed face, must face forwards towards the door.

Fit door knobs (diagram 2 below). The door knobs go on the outer side of the door handles.

This instruction manual must be left with the appliance and or homeowner for them to read

and understand prior to using the appliance
