My vehicle has both an external CD Changer and SiriusXM Tuner;
will I lose both when this adapter is installed?
YES;
this adapter takes the place of the CD Changer and/or XM.
2.
Does the A2D-VW02 work in vehicles with a 6-CD Changer radio
(changer is built-into the radio)?
YES;
but the external CD Changer (if present) must be disconnected
and will no longer function.
3.
Can I use the A2D-VW02 for hands free calls?
NO;
the A2D-VW02 does not support Hands-Fee Calling but does
support wireless Audio Streaming Profile (A2DP).
4.
Will I be able to control my phone from the radio buttons?
NO, you must the Smartphones or Tablet built-in control for music
selection
Important Notes:
The A2D-VW02 works in select VW Group Vehicles with an external CD
CHANGER and/or SiriusXM Radio.
Your vehicle must have at least one of these two options for the Adapter to
work. In the case of SiriusXM, no subscription is required but the Satellite
Radio Tuner is required
Plug-n-play installation to factory radio in the dash (does not
connect to the wiring in the trunk or elsewhere
** External or remote CD Changer refers to the optional Changer installed in glove
box, lower dash, center armrest, hatch, trunk etc. (external CD Changer is not the
Changer built-into the head unit e.g. Symphony Radio etc.)
