IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Basic safety precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances, including the following:
1. Important: read all instructions carefully before using the
appliance.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Metal surfaces will
become extremely hot.
3. To protect against re, electric shock and injury to persons, do not
immerse cord, plug or moka maker in water or any other liquid. See
instructions for cleaning.
4. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near
children.
5. Always unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use and before
cleaning. Allow the moka maker to cool completely before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
6. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or
after appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by Aroma

9. Do not allow cord to hang over the edge of a table or counter or to

10. Do not move moka maker during the brewing process.

11. To disconnect, turn any control to the "OFF" position, then remove the plug from
wall outlet.
12. This moka maker is intended to brew coffee. Do not use this appliance for other
than its intended use.
13. The power base must only be used with the provided moka maker.
14. Only use the moka maker to heat water for brewing coffee. No other liquids shou
be placed inside the moka maker.
15. Do not unscrew any screws on the moka maker or power base or attempt to
disassemble them in any way.
16. Do not place the moka maker on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a hea
oven.
17. This appliance is for household use only.
18. Do not open lid when operating. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during
brewing cycle.
19. Use only on a level, dry and heat-resistant surface.

20. Always unplug from the base of the wall outlet. Never pull on the cord.
21. The moka maker should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other
operating appliances. If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances
moka maker may not operate properly.
