If the join on your staging falls at a standard glazing bar use the wider shelving arm, diagram 13. You

will then need to attach a normal shelving arm to the A-frame (diagram 14), use the same method as

before to fix these. Once these are installed you can rest the rear slat in place to mark where you

need notch it. It should be something like diagram 15. Once you are happy with where to notch the

slat use a hacksaw to cut it, de-burring any sharp edges with a file. You can now fit the slats to the

arms, follow the method on page 5 to do this.

Note: A useful tip when notching

an aluminium slat like this is to

50mm

make the two 52mm cuts and

then bend the aluminium up and

down until it breaks off, then use

a file to tidy the edge.
