You may need to use the arrows to adjust this setting. For a 1.5 cubic foot (45,000 grain) softener set

this to 9 and for a 1.0 cubic foot (30,000 grain) softener, set it to 6.

NOW SET THE CURRENT TIME OF DAY: Press and hold the up or down arrow for 5 seconds. The

display will read TD with the time of day. Adjust to present time of day and press the extra cycle

button (button with the circle of arrows).

START-UP

1. Open nearby faucet in COLD position and slowly open bypass valve on softener or turn main water

supply on to allow air to escape from tank.

2. Wait a few minutes then open bypass or main supply open completely, slowly.

3. Allow water to run out of faucet for 5 minutes.

4. Add salt to the brine tank. Always keep the tank at least 1/3 full of salt.

5. Add approximately 3 gallons of water to the brine tank.

6. Press the extra cycle button, the faucet icon will start to flash.

7. Your done.

*** If you ever see the time flashing, press the extra cycle button once and it will stop.

*** The display will rotate between the time of day and the gallons of water remaining before the next

regeneration. This is normal.

*** Always keep the salt level above the water in the brine tank.
