Location of Controls

Indoor/Outdoor Use
This is light is rated IP44 Water Resistant. It is designed to be used indoors or outdoors
under normal operating conditions. It is NOT designed to be submerged in water or
any other liquid. Do NOT expose the light to excessive heat above 105°F (40°C) or
cold below 30°F (-1°C).
To Install Batteries
Use a #1 or #2 Philips Screwdriver (not included) and remove the battery door (5).
Insert 3x new AA in the chamber noting the direction/polarity of each battery.
Place door back on and tighten screw.
Only use fresh batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries.
When lights become dim or sensor no longer operates properly, it is time to install
new batteries.
Please recycle/dispose of the used batteries in the correct manner according to
your local ordinances.
Operate the Light Two Different Ways
There are two modes of operation to choose from. Tap Mode will allow the user
to select White OR Color (Red, Green and Blue) Light. Motion Activated Mode will
only operate in White Color.

To Choose Mode
There is a Mode Selection Switch (3) located on the bottom of the unit. The switch
is encased in a water-resistant sleeve to protect the unit from malfunction when
operated outdoors. To operate the light in tap mode with color, move the switch to
the RIGHT (ICON). To operate the light as Motion Activated, move the switch to the
LEFT (ICON).
In Motion Activated Mode
This light is equipped with a PIR (passive infrared) sensor (4) that can detect motion
under dusk to dawn conditions up to 10 feet (3m). When Motion Activated Mode is
chosen, BRIGHT WHITE light will activate when the sensor detects movement within
10 feet (3m). Light will remain on until no motion is detected and then shut off 30
seconds after the last recognized movement. Motion detection will not function
properly if the sensor is blocked or tampered with.
In Tap Mode
Tapping the top of the unit lightly (1) will activate a toggle switch/tap selector
on the bottom (2) and change the color of the light. The tap selector is meant
to react to minimal pressure. Pushing heavily or banging on the top of the light is

not necessary and will eventually damage the unit. The tap selector must be in
contact with the surface in order to work. The tap selector will NOT work on an
uneven surface (such as wicker, sand or dirt). You can manually click the toggle
to change the light color if you are using the light on a surface where the tap
function does not operate.
To select the color of the light:
Tap for BRIGHT WHITE
Tap for DIM WHITE
Tap for RED
Tap for GREEN
Tap for BLUE
Tap OFF
Battery Precautions:
1. Use only the size and type of batteries specifi ed.
2. Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the
intended use.
3. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries as indicated in
the battery compartment.
Reversed batteries may cause damage to the device.
4. Do not mix alkaline, standard (Carbon-Zinc), or rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium)
batteries.
5. Replace all batteries of a set at the same time. Do not mix old and new
batteries.
6. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery
installation.
7. Do not dispose of batteries in fi re.
8. Remove batteries if consumed or if product is to be left unused for an extended
period of time.
