Troubleshooting
If there is a problem with the binoculars, first refer to the following table. If the
problem still persists, please send the binoculars to the nearest Canon Service
Center.

Cautionary Notes·
(1) Never use the binoculars to look at the sun or a strona- lia-ht source.
Doina- so may cause eye damage.
(2) If the binoculars are brought into a warm room from a cold environment,
condensation may form on the lenses. To avoid this, seal the binoculars in a
plastic bag before taking them into a warm room. Allow the sealed
binoculars to warm up before taking them out of the plastic bag.
(3) The binoculars are a precision instrument. Do not drop them or subject
them to shock. And do not attempt to disassemble them.
(4) Although the binoculars are waterproof, it should be wiped with a dry cloth
if it gets wet. If it has been exposed to salty air, use a well-wringed damp
cloth to wipe.
(5) Do not put the binoculars in front of a heater or in a car on a sunny day.
High temperatures can cause the binoculars to malfunction.
(6) If the lens needs to be cleaned, first turn the focusing knob to retract the
binoculars lenses into the body. Use a blower brush to blow off dust from the
lens. Then use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the lens surface without
scratching it. Do not use an organic solvent to clean the lenses or body.
(7) Before putting the binoculars into the case, turn the focusing knob to retract
the binoculars lenses into the body.
Storage
(1) Storing the binoculars in a humid location may cause fungus on the lenses.
If the binoculars are not to be used for an extended period, clean the lenses
and body thoroughly and store in a well-ventilated dry place.
(2) Avoid storing the binoculars in a laboratory or a location where corrosive
chemicals are present. Also avoid storage in a chest of drawers.
