The switch fitted to the grinder prevents accidental
machine starting. However, a locking position has also been
provided:
SWITCH OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
Lock "OFF"
The switch is protected against accidental start ups by an
interlocking button ✪✌ (Fig.4) (lock off) which only allows
the machine to operate under special conditions.
Start Up
To start the machine press button ✪✌ keeping it pressed
down, whilst activating the black lever ✫✌ on the switch.
Locking Device in "ON" Position
It is possible to lock the switch in the "ON" position by
simply releasing the button ✪✌ when the black lever ✫✌ is
fully depressed.
ATTENTION
To unlock the switch , press the Button ✪✌.
ATTENTION
For operator safety, never leave the tool in the locked
"ON" position.
PROTECTION
The switch is sealed for protection against dust and other
foreign materials.
ROUGHING
When performing roughing operations, it is advised to
maintain the disk tilted at an angle of approximately 30° in
relation to the work surface. (Fig.5).
NOTE: Only use grinding discs for this operation.
IMPORTANT
Excessive pressure on the machine does not necessarily
result in higher working speed, on the contrary, it
increases the wear on the disk and can damage the
grinder.
CUTTING
When cutting do not incline the grinder and do not jam the
grinder on the work surface. The cutting edge of the disc
must be in perfect condition (Fig.6). (For hard stone a
diamond-tipped grinding wheel is recommended.)
NOTE: Only use cutting discs for this operation.
ROTATING THE HEAD
In order to be able to operate safely and easily in any
position, the head of the grinder can be rotated through 90°
both to the right or to the left.
– Unscrew and remove the four screws ✬✌ (Fig.7).
– Turn the head 90° without pulling it out of its seat.
– Replace and tighten screws ✬✌ and screw the side
handgrip into the threaded position (Fig.7).
SUPPLEMENTARY HANDGRIP
For reasons of safety, when working with this type of
electric power tool, the operator must always use the
supplementary handgrip.
In order to fit the handgrip on the grinder, insert it into one
of the special threaded seats in the aluminium head and
screw in clockwise until fully tightened.
IMPROPER USE
The functions and use of this tool are those exclusively
indicated in this manual. ANY OTHER USE OF THE TOOL
IS EXPLICITLY FORBIDDEN.
