Zone Bypassing
The zone byp assing function is use d when a c c ess is ne e d e d to p art of the prote cte d are a while the
system is arme d. Zones which are temporarily out of servic e due to d ama g e d wiring or conta cts may
b e byp asse d to allow system arming until re p airs c an b e ma d e.
Byp asse d zones will not c ause an alarm. Zones c annot b e byp asse d onc e the system is arme d.
Byp asse d zones are automatic ally c anc elle d e a ch time the system is disarme d and must b e re a p plie d
b efore the next arming.
NOTE: For security reasons, your installer may program the system to prevent you from
bypassing certain zones.
Bypassing zones reduces your security protection. If you are bypassing a zone due to damaged
wiring or contacts, please call a service technician immediately so that the problem can be
resolved and your system returned to proper working order.
Do not unintentionally bypass zones when you arm your system.
To bypass zones from an LED keypad:
Start with the system in the Re a dy state. Enter [
Enter the zone numb er(s) as a double digit from 01 to 32. As e a ch zone is byp asse d, the corresponding
zone light will turn O N. If a zone is byp asse d by mistake, press that zone numb er a g ain and the zone
light will turn O F F, indic ating that the zone is not byp asse d. Press [#] to return to the Re a dy state.
When the system is arme d, the Byp ass light will b e O N if one or more zones are byp asse d.
