Treat solar panels like fragile glass: protect them during transport / storage, do not step on them, handle them with
care.
Before installation, check the condition of the panel, housing and cables. Never use damaged, dirty or damp hardware.
The black housing at the back of the panel must be oriented so that water does not penetrate it.
1.2 Warning concerning AviTrac® bird repeller
It must be used with care if there are herds nearby, as distress signals can create unpredictable reactions in some
animals.
The audible frightener can emit sound signals up to 120 dBA at 1 meter. It is imperative not to remain in front of the
loudspeaker(s) when it is transmitting at maximum power.
In order to avoid the habituation effect, be sure to move the appliance regularly, even by a few metres.
It is advisable to combine several scaring methods (kites, scaring balloons, etc.) to make the threat as realistic as
possible, especially when bird activity is very high. Finally, audible and visual frightening is most effective when
used preventively.
The solar panel recharges the battery inside the AviTrac®'s waterproof casing. This is a lead type battery.
