Contact Customer Service 630.543.3747 for a Return Authorization Number (RA) before

Quick Start
Install DicksonWare
TM
Version 17.23 or higher
Install Battery
Each end of the HT300 can be removed. The battery is located on the cap end
with the lanyard hole. Note the battery symbol etched on this end of the case.
Remove the cap carefully by twisting the cap counter clockwise.
Insert the battery positive side in first.
Replace the battery cap tightly.
It may take up to 5 seconds for the unit to power on.
Open DicksonWare
software via the icon on your desktop.

NOTE: It is very important to attach the correct cap to the correct end of the
case. The cap end with the lanyard hole and spring must always go on the
battery end of the case.
Setup Logger
The USB port is located opposite end of the case. Note the USB symbol etched
on the USB access end of the case.
Remove the cap.
The USB port is just inside the logger opening.
Connect the USB cable to the logger and to an available working USB port on
your PC.
Your computer should detect the logger when it is powered on and connected to
the computer via the USB connection. Depending on your version of Windows,
the computer may go through an Add New Hardware routine. Click on the Setup
button. You will be prompted to select USB or Serial COM Port Connection.
Select USB then Click Continue. A Setup window will appear. All fields should be
automatically filled in, confirming that DicksonWare
logger. Should all fields remain blank, refer to the troubleshooting section in
this manual
Once DicksonWare
TM
recognizes the logger, press the Clear button. This will
delete all data currently stored.
The logger is now ready to be placed in the desired logger location.
Software
(All of these features can be modified by click on the main Setup button.)
Setup (button)
Click this button first to establish communications between the logger and
DicksonWare
software. You may be prompted to select the communication

method between USB or Serial COM port. You may save this setting so you will
not be prompted again. This setting is also changeable in
File/Preferences/Communications. A Setup window will appear with "all fields"
populated. This confirms that the software has recognized the logger. Should
the fields remain blank then communication has not been established, refer to
the Troubleshooting section of this manual
