Configuring the Decoder Unit
The   d ecoder   i s   c onfigured   u sing   t he   C onfigureDecoder.exe   p rogram   o n   t he   s upplied   U SB   F lash   D rive.     I nsert  
the   U SB   F lash   D rive   i nto   a   W indows   P C   a nd   r un   t he   C onfigureDecoder.exe   p rogram.      
 
Select   t he   D ecoder   M odel  
This   g uide   s hows   t he   s teps   r equired   t o   c onfigure   a   D 1000.    
Select   t he   D 1000   f rom   t he   a vailable   d ecoder   m odels.  
 
Network   C onfiguration  
In   m ost   c ircumstances   t he   d efault   D HCP   o ption   i s   s ufficient   h owever   i f   y ou   h ave   a  
special   r equirement   i t   i s   p ossible   t o   e nter   a   S tatic   I P   c onfiguration.     O nce   y ou   h ave  
selected   t he   a ppropriate   o ption   f or   y our   r equirement   h it   t he   ' Next'   b utton.    
 
 
Configure   S treams   t o   V iew  
On   t his   n ext   p age   y ou   c an   e nter   t he   l ist   o f   s treams   y ou   w ant   t o   b e   a ble   t o   s elect  
from   o n   t he   d ecoder   b ox.  
 
Each   e ntry   i s   a ssigned   a   n umber   t hat   c orresponds   t o   t he   s ame   n umber   k ey   o n   t he  
USB   k eyboard.   I f   y ou   w ant   t o   o rder   t he   e ntries   d ifferently   s elect   t he   e ntry   a nd   u se  
the   t wo   m ove   b uttons   o n   t he   r ight   t o   m ove   t he   e ntries   u p   o r   d own   i n   t he   l ist.    
 
Video   O utput   C onfiguration  
Next   y ou   w ill   b e   a sked   t o   s elect   t he   v ideo   o utput   t ype   t hat   t he   e ncoder   w ill   u se.  
This   m odifies   t he   o utput   t o   g ive   b etter   r esults   w hen   u sing   e ither   t he   S D/Composite  
or   H D/Digital   V ideo   o utput.  
Once   y ou   h ave   e ntered   t he   d esired   o utput   t ype   y ou   s hould   h it   ' Finish'.     T his   w ill  
close   t he   w izard   a nd   y ou   s hould   f ollow   t he   o n   s creen   i nstructions   o n   h ow   t o   e ject  
the   U SB   F lash   D rive.  
 
 
Power   o n   t he   d ecoder   u nit   a nd   a llow   i t   t o   b oot   ( wait   u ntil   y ou   s ee   t he   s plash   s creen).     I nsert   t he   U SB   F lash  
Drive   i nto   o ne   o f   t he   U SB   s ockets   o n   t he   f ront   o f   t he   u nit.     T he   u nit   w ill   r econfigure   i tself   a nd,   i f   s uccessful,  
should   n ow   b e   s howing   t he   f irst   s tream   o n   t he   o utput.
