Perform a careful visual inspection noting a n y damage
which may have occu rred in shi pment. C lean all d ust, d i rt
and foreign materials acc u m u lated in shi pment.

Using procedures desc ri bed i n the maintenance section
of this manual, carry out a vacuum chec k , POO .
7 .
C o m p l ete a m an u a l s p r i n g c h a r g e , c l o s e a n d t r i p
operation .

Reinstall all interphase and external barriers (see 4 above)
9 .
Check p rimary contact assemblies . Fingers should b e
fully engaged, spring loaded a n d arranged with sym­
metry about the axis of the primary stud .

De-energ ize c u bicle control power, and install plug jumper
between c u bicle secondary d i sconnects and those of the
breaker. Re-energize control power springs should charge.
With the local control switch close and trip breaker.
1 1 a. (Lever type racking only) Note that with the breaker closed,
that the racking release handle, ( Fig. 2a and 2b ) , cannot
be raised . Open b reaker by pressing trip button and note
the racking lever may be freely raised.
11 b . (Sc rew type racking only) Refer to the panel mounted
cautionary statement and safety instructions ( reprod uc­
tion below). Read and u nderstand this information before
i nserting the c i rcuit breaker into the cu bicle.

CIRCUIT BREAKER IS EQUIPPED WITH SCREW
RACKING AND MAY INCLUDE A KEY TYPE
INTERLOCK, AS WELL KNOW HOW THIS
EQUIPMENT IS TO BE OPERATED BEFORE
ATTEMPTING TO INSERT OR RACK CIRCUIT
BREAKER. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD
RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY AND PROPERTY
DAMAGE.

OPERATION TO QUALIFIED PERSONNEL ONLY.
