1. Open the rear cover.

Check the parts.

2. install size "AAA" (IEC RO3/UM-4) batteries making sure that the

@® €) polarity is correct.

3. Close the cover.

2. Pinch belt on inner tim between thumb and forefinger.

3. Slip belt over finger and pull out, inserting finger in hole.

4. Insert finger from top of platter and transfer belt to forefinger.

5. Lower platter onto spindle.

6. Release belt onto pulley.

Cautions for handling batteries.

Misusing batteries can result in electrolyte leakage or explosions. Bear

in mind the following points for getting the most out of your batteries

* When loading the batteries into the battery Compartment, make sure

the plus @

and minus

potarities correspond to the markings on

the compartment.

« Even though they rnay be the same

shape, batteries come

with

different vottage ratings. Do not mix or use different types of batteries

together. Use only the same kind of batteries.

* Do not mix up new batteries and used batteries but replace all the

batteries at the same time.

* Do not heat up, disassemble or shortcircuit batteries or throw them

into a fire.

7. Place platter mat on platter (with "PIONEER" side up).

8. Remove the vinyl band holding the tonearm.

9. Remove the tonearm from the arm rest.
