Changing Limits, Units of Measure and Driving Abroad

Changing the Drink Drive Limit
This is accessed through Main Menu > Settings > Set Limit. This will
change the point at which the AlcoSense Excel will display the don't drive
alert. Please note, the don't drive alert is displayed from 20% below your
chosen limit. For example, if the limit is set at 0.35mg/L it will display the
don't drive alert from 0.28mg/L upwards.
To check the current setting please go to Main Menu > Info and scroll
down until you see "Limit". If you wish to change the limit please go to
Main Menu > Settings > Set Limit. You can then adjust the limit up or
down as you choose.
Changing the Unit of Measure
You can change the AlcoSense's unit of measurement between blood (BAC)
or breath (BrAC) alcohol concentrations. If using a blood alcohol unit of
measure we STRONGLY recommend double checking the Blood Breath
Ratio (BBR) is set correctly first by referencing the tables at
www.alcosense.co.uk/support. The UK and Irish BBR is 2300:1. If you use
the wrong BBR your readings will display incorrectly (see section on Blood
Breath Ratio). The choice of units are:
• mg/L BrAC (milligrams of alcohol per litre of breath)
• ‰BAC (per mil Blood Alcohol Concentration)
