3.0 FILTER INSTALLATION
3.1 GENERAL INSTALLATION RULES
According to Italian Regulation the installation of the filter must be done by a qualified company that should provide a
certificate for correct installation. The installer should leave a technical document containing clear indications about
fittings, zone valves, sampling taps, drainage points and any other element pertaining assembly of the appliance. Such
documents should be attached to the user's manual and consigned to the customer.
Install the filter observing all applicable local installation regulations, general guidelines and technical specifications.
The semi-automatic cleaning filter PuliFIL protects hydraulic systems from foreign bodies.
Attention!
Check for the right connections of water inlet and outlet. The entrance and exit of water must be
concordant with the direction of the arrow printed on filter brass head.

Before installation, please observe all applicable installation regulations, general guidelines and technical
specifications.

Before installation clean thoroughly pipes and equipments installed before the filter to eliminate any foreign
body.

It is advisable to install shut-off valves immediately up-stream and down-stream the unity

It is advisable to install a by pass valve to by-pass the filter during maintenance

It is advisable to install sampling points up-stream and down-stream the filter to verify efficacy of filtering unit.

The installation site must be protected against frost and must guarantee the protection of the unit from all types
of chemicals, paints, heating oils, lees, solvent vapours, heat sources above 40°C and direct sunlight.

Leave sufficient space for unscrew filter bowl.

After installation verify for water leakage
3.2 HYDRAULIC CHECKS AFTER THE INSTALLATION
After opening water to filter unit please verify for water leakage:
1. Verify that the installation allows maintenance
2. Verify the presence of a by pass circuit to exclude the pump from main water supply line during servicing;
3. Verify the sampling points upstream and downstream the filtering unit;
4. Verify that the installation is compliant with local installation regulations, general guidelines and technical
specifications.
4.0 GENERAL INSTALLATION FLOW SHEET
