hose, or air).
5. Insert new brush sections.

BRUSH SECTION ROTATION
After every 4 hours of use, rotate brush sections from
front to back.
STORAGE
Store your broom so that the brush pressure is equal
on all bristle strips. Some suggestions are:
• Block both ends so that the weight of the unit is not
on the brush strips at all.
• Store broom upside down.
• Store blocked so that broom sits level.
This will preserve an EVEN sweeping surface. Store
under a dark tarp to minimize ultraviolet light damage
to brush sections.

MAINTENANCE

BRISTLE WEAR
All SweepEx
application, will work equally well sweeping backward
or forward.
If you only sweep in one direction, the bristles
eventually will knife to a point. Using the broom for
"forward only" sweeping will cause the broom to start
losing its effectiveness. Pulling the bristle rows out of
the hood and turning them around end for end will give
more even wear. Once the bristles are worn down to
approximately 50% of their original height, the entire
set should be replaced.
As the bristles wear down, they may become stiff and
tips and result in an undesirable smear. Generally
speaking, SweepEx bristles wear out or melt, due
to ground friction, at a rate of 1/64" per mile. This, of
course, should be monitored case by case. Individual
use and wear may vary.
