Device settings for digital audio

If you have connected devices to your TV using optical,
coaxial, or HDMI cable, you may need to change the
setting on the device for the correct output.
In the audio menu for each device, make these
adjustments as needed.
1. For the output format, choose Dolby Digital 5.1,
PCM 2.0, or Bitstream.
Dolby Digital offers the highest quality and PCM
provides the next best.
2. Make sure the audio sample rate setting is no
higher than 48kHz.
3. Make sure the correct digital audio output on the
source device is selected.
For details, refer to the owner's manual provided with
your device.
Note: If you cannot hear the audio from a digital source
device, change the connection from the TV to the
interface module by using the stereo audio cable.
Some TVs cannot pass digital audio from an external
sound source through the TV optical output.

Using stereo cable from your TV
If your TV does not have an optical output, or you are
unable to get sound from connected devices, you can
connect the supplied stereo audio cable from your TV
audio out connectors to the interface module.
The stereo audio cable has two RCA plugs at each end,
one red (R) and one white (L).
1. Insert the white plug at each end into the Left (L)
audio connector on the TV and on the interface
module.
2. Insert the red plug at each end into the Right (R)
audio connector on the TV and on the interface
module.
