Controller and local on/off operation is restored to the PA front panel buttons.
3. Manual Switch (Local) – Switch Controller in Local (Manual Mode): This is the
normal Local (Manual) operating condition of the Switch Controller – with Switch
Controller in Local mode and the PAs in Remote mode. TXA is switched on and into the
antenna and TXB switched off and into the load. The user may manually (via the buttons
located on the front of the Switch Controller control which TX is on-air and which TX is
into the load.
Manual Switch Action: The Switch Controller has two front panel buttons, labeled
T1 and T2. When PA A is in Local mode, PA On/Off is controlled by the PA front panel
button. When PA A is in Remote mode, the PA On/Off is controlled by the Switch
Controller T1 button. The same goes for PA B and the Switch Controller T2 button.
Local (Manual) switching between the two TXs is accomplished via the T1 and T2
buttons located on the front panel of the Switch Controller. Some rules apply. The Switch
Controller will only allow one PA to be turned on at a time (both TXs cannot be on at the
same time). For example, if both T1 and T2 are off (unlit), and T1 is pressed on (and lit
up) then TXA is ON and TXB will not turn on, even if the T2 button is then pressed (lit
up). If the user wishes to manually switch to put TXB on-air, then both T1 and T2 must
first be turned off (unlit), then the desired TX button may be selected – i.e. the user may
press the T2 button to switch TXB on and into the antenna.
