with a soft cloth wrung in hot water with a mild all-purpose cleaning
agent removes lime scale marks and other stains. Wipe the surface
dry with a clean soft cloth. Do not subject the washbasin to acid,
ammonia, drain cleaner or bleach, for stubborn marks or stains
you can use abrasive materials e.g. 1000 grit sandpaper or coarse
cleaning sponges. If the area that has been polished appears glossy,
it can subsequently be ground with 800-grit and then 600 grit, and
finished with a soft, dry cloth. Always start with 1000 grit. Do not
subject the washbasin to water temperature above 70°C as the solid
surface material may crackle.
PORCELAIN WASHBASINS: The washbasins is cast in a material
that consists of a clay mass with silica sand and coated with a glaze,
which is then fired at approx. 1.200 °C. This gives a glazed, resistant
surface which is easy to maintain. Limescale marks may be reduced
by regular cleaning of the wash basin. We recommend cleaning with
ordinary soapy water and wiping with a clean, soft cloth.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents which contain strong solvents
such as acid, chlorine, ammonia, drain cleaner, caustic soda or
abrasive agents. We also advise against the use of coarse cleaning
sponges. Do not subject the wash basin to water at a temperature
above 70° C, as the glaze may crack.
MARBLE WASH BASINS: The wash basin is cast in a cast marble
material which has been specially developed for the production of
sanitary products. The product is made from crushed marble , fixed
by polyester and finished with a shiny gel-coat surface. Limescale
marks may be reduced by regular cleaning of the wash basin. We
recommend cleaning using a soft cloth, wrung in hot water with
a mild all-purpose cleaning agent. Wipe with a clean, soft cloth.
Do not subject the product to acid, ammonia, drain cleaner, chlo-
rine, abrasive products or coarse cleaning sponges. Do not subject
the wash basin to water at a temperature above 70° C, as the glaze
may crack. If the surface becomes scratched, it may be polished
using a fine polishing agent and subsequently treated with wax (e.g.
car wax). Continued use of our care instructions should keep the
quality of the product for many years. We recommend "Clean &
Shine" – a concentrated and effective wax shampoo which cleans
the wash basin giving it a protective , shiny surface.
GLASS WASHBASINS: The washbasin is produced from a clear low
iron glass type painted white underneath and is cast at approx.
800 degrees. The washbasin appears with a strong, polished easy
clean surface.
Limescale marks may be reduced with regular cleaning using a soft
cloth wrung in hot water added a mild universal detergent, and
the washbasin will appear beautifully polished for many years. Do
not subject the product to acid, ammonia, drain cleaner, chlorine,
abrasive products or coarse cleaning sponges. Do not subject the
washbasin to water at a temperature above 70° C, as the material
may crack.
ALUMINIUM AND OTHER MATERIALS: We recommend cleaning
with a soft cloth, wrung in hot water with a mild all-purpose clea-
ning agent. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth wrung in clean water to
remove the cleaning agent and to avoid stains and stripes. Finally,
wipe the surface with a soft microfibre cloth. Never use cleaning
agents that contain acid, abrasives or other strong solvents as well
as hard cleaning sponges as these may damage the surface. Stub-
born limescale marks can normally be removed using a solution of
vinegar and water.
