DS500X

The new DS500X sampler unit has been

designed to be more robust and user-friendly than

its predecessor (see photo top right).

The sampler requires a 12V power supply, which

is achieved by the external battery packs

supplied. Please ensure these are fully charged

before use, using the battery charger provided.

Once the sampler has been connected to the

battery pack via the power cable (see DS500X

Installation Instructions Page 3) it can be

activated:

PLEASE NOTE - the sampler unit will not activate

if its SD card is missing (see middle photo right).

Switch the I/0 (on/off) rocker switch on the top

of the sampler unit to 'I' (on). The green 'ON'

LED will illuminate (see bottom photo right)

•

PLEASE NOTE - there is a 5 second delay

before the sampler pump activates. A whirring

noise will be audible when the pump is running

•

The sampler unit writes data to its SD card

every hour. Whilst data is being written, the red

'INFO' LED will flash 5 times

•

The sampler unit will automatically shut down

after exactly 7 days run time

•

PLEASE NOTE - the rocker switch does not

reset. At the end of a 7 day run OR to end a

sampling run prematurely, switch the rocker

switch to '0' (off). Again, there is a short time

delay until the pump de-activates.

Once the sampler has been activated the inlet

and monitoring head assembly must be replaced.

Please do not disconnect the power supply whilst

the sampler unit is running.

Please do not remove the sampler units side

inspection panels without prior agreement.
