2. Using the cable holder clip (9) supplied, secure
the engine throttle cable (3) to the lower handle
(6) to ensure it is secure. (Fig G)

Assembly of the 60L Hard Catcher

The 60L hard catcher (7) is supplied in 2 sections.
Locate the top half of the catcher on top of the
bottom half. Interlock the upper and lower sections
together in the matching slots - there are 3 slots on
each side, and 3 slots at the rear of both the upper
and lower halves of the 60L hard catcher (7). When
correctly aligned, they will click into place. (Fig H)

Attaching the 60L Hard Catcher

NOTE: Ensure the lawn mower engine is turned
OFF when fitting or removing the catcher.
1. Lift the rear discharge guard (12) in order to
position the assembled 60L hard catcher (7).
NOTE: Do NOT ever start the lawn mower if the
rear discharge guard does not fully return to the
close position if the catcher is not fitted.
2. With the rear discharge guard (12) raised, align
the 2 hooks (one on each side) onto the rear
discharge chute with the 2 tabs (one on each
side) on the 60L hard catcher (7).
3. When these are aligned, push the 60L hard
catcher (7) in a downwards direction to secure
the tabs onto the hooks (Fig I).
4. Release the rear discharge guard (12) to secure
the 60L hard catcher (7) into place. (Fig J)
NOTE: Always empty the catcher before it has
reached maximum capacity, otherwise it will
decrease the performance of the lawn mower.
TIP: Do not leave grass clippings in the catcher
for extended periods of time.

Adding and Checking the oil

IMPORTANT: This lawn mower is packed with NO OIL in the engine. Prior to
starting the engine, Oil MUST be added to the sump of the engine.
Failure to add sufficient oil will result in damage to the engine which is
NOT covered under the warranty of the lawn mower.
On a new lawn mower, the engine needs to be filled with 470ml of SAE 10W-30
engine oil.
Each time the lawn mower is used, the oil level should be checked and if low,
add sufficient oil to ensure the oil level is to the full mark on the dipstick.
1. Position the lawn mower on a flat and level surface. Clean the area
directly around the oil filler cap (19).
2. Remove the oil filler cap / dipstick (19) by
turning approximately half a turn in an anti
clockwise direction and lift the cap outwards.
Clean the oil dipstick (19) with a clean cloth,
cleaning away any visual oil (Fig K).
3. FOR A NEW LAWN MOWER, add 470ml of SAE
10W-30 engine oil.
4. Re-insert the oil dipstick and secure the oil filler
cap (19) by turning approximately half a turn in
a clockwise direction.
5. Again remove the oil dipstick (19) and check
the oil level. It should be at the top of the full
indicator on the dipstick (Fig L).
6. If low, add oil slowly into the engine oil fill.
Do not overfill. After adding oil, wait one
minute and then recheck the oil level.
7. Replace and tighten the oil filler cap / dipstick
(19). Always ensure the oil filler cap is firmly locked in place before the
engine is started.
NOTE: Do not over fill with oil above the full indicator mark.
