CAUTION
WARNING
1.
Remove the HT lead from the spark plug.
2.
Raise the front of the saw to its maximum height using the foot pedal.
3.
Disconnect the water feed pipe from the blade guard.
4.
Remove the blade guard by loosening the bolt at the side and lifting the guard up
and away from the saw
5.
Remove the arbor shaft nut (3) and blade clamping plate (2) using the spanners
provided.
6.
Check the clamping plate and backing plates for damage or wear. Replace if
necessary, and t the blade as laid down in the safety codes USA ANSI B7.1,
Canada SCA and Great Britain HMSO No. 4.
7.
Clean the ange before mounting the blade.
8.
Be sure that the arrow on the blade points in the same direction as the rotation of
the tool.
9.
Fit a genuine Altrad Belle blade on to the arbor shaft making certain that the blade
locates on to the arbor shaft boss and is ush with the ange plate.
10. Replace the clamping plate (2) with the dowel pin (1) passing through the blade
into the rear ange plate.
11. Replace the arbor shaft nut (3) and secure rmly using the Spanners provided.
12. Re t the blade guard.
13. Reconnect the HT lead to the spark plug.
14. The machine is now ready to be used.
NOTE:- When the Blade is changed, ensure the guard pivot point is suf ciently
lubricated.

Problem
Engine will not start.
Blade not turning
Excessive Noise, Vibration or wobble
from blade.
Incorrect tting of a blade can cause serious injury. Ensure that the tting instructions are followed. If in
any doubt, contact your supervisor or Altrad Belle.
DO NOT operate the Floor Saw with the Blade Guard in the raised position. This may caused serious
injury.

Troubleshooting Guide

Cause
No fuel.
Engine switched off.
Spark plug fouled.
Engine cold.
Engine ooded.
Belts incorrectly tensioned.
Belts broken.
Check condition of arbor shaft bearings.
Check dowel pin for damage.
Check tightness of arbor shaft nut.
Check condition of Blade ange.
Check Blade for signs of damage.

Blade Fitment

Remedy
Open fuel tap.
Fill fuel tank.
Switch engine on.
Clean and reset plug gap.
Close choke.
Honda, open choke, fully open throttle, pull
recoil starter until engine res.
Re-tension belts.
Replace belts.
Replace as necessary.
Replace dowel pin.
Tighten as necessary.
Replace as necessary.
Replace blade.
