Boundary conditions for use
NOTICE
▪
The Hydraulic unit Framax V4 has sufficient
oil capacity for extending 6 stripping cylin-
ders.
▪
The hydraulic unit Framax V4 is suitable for
deployment at outside temperatures of
between -5° C and +55° C.
It is not permissible to put the unit into ser-
vice at temperatures of below -5° C, as the
hydraulic oil would be too viscous.
Deployment in low ambient temperatures:

Store the unit in a warm environment.
Deployment in high ambient temperatures:
➤
Store the unit where it is protected from the direct
rays of the sun.

Equipment components

As-delivered condition:
▪
Doka supplies the unit in ready-for-use condition.
- cleaned reservoir
- clean hydraulic oil
- valid inspection sticker
Note:
The following are kept in the documents container:
▪
Hexagon-socket screw key (width-across 12 mm)
▪
3 cylinder screws M10x20 10.9 ISO 4762
As spares for the drive hexagon socket (width-
across 8 mm).
▪
2 bits, hexagon socket (width-across 8 mm), min. 30
mm long

Leakage test

Hydraulic units are subjected to considerable stresses
and strains - e.g. vibrations, temperature fluctuations
and high pressures.
➤
Ensure scrupulous cleanliness during operation, so
that you can detect leaks at an early stage and rule
out possible sources of errors.
This inspection should focus on the:
▪
Flatface plug-in connectors
▪
threaded joints
▪
joining surfaces between the individual
valve components
▪
oil reservoir

Installation of the hydraulics
➤
Swivel the footplate flat to the ground.
➤
Route the Pair of hydraulic hoses from the stripping
cylinder to the Hydraulic unit Framax V4 and connect
the hoses.

➤
Temporarily stow pairs of hydraulic hoses that are
not in use in the parking positions inside the Hydrau-
lic unit Framax V4.
