2.0 Tools and Material Overview
The following parts are included in the E / F Series replacement solar panel kits:
•
1x solar panel assembly (E or F Series)
•
2x flat washer – stainless steel, 0.058" thick
•
2x spacer, nylon
•
2x 5/32" sealing rivet – stainless steel, 0.156" OD
•
3x 1/8" sealing rivet (all three only required for F Series systems)
•
3x black cable tie
•
3x door labels (two for legacy R247-E, R920 and one for E or F Series)
•
12.9 inches of foam tape (needed for E-Series only)
•
1x 8-32 tap
•
1x #29 (0.136") drill bit
The following tools are required:
•
Hand rivet tool with #2 (1/8") and #5 (5/32") rivet nosepieces (not included)
•
8-32 tap (included, required for legacy R920/R247-E only)
•
#29 (0.136") drill bit (included, required for legacy R920/R247-E only)
•
Side cutters for cutting cable ties
•
Large drill bit for drilling rivets
•
Electrical tape or wire nuts
This replacement kit allows for solar panel replacement for the legacy R920/R247-E solar engines with horizontal
opening solar panel, and newer E Series and F Series solar engines with vertically opening solar panel.
