OPERATION AND MEASUREMENT

SS-100 series spectroradiometers have onboard circuitry which allows for output to a datalogger (via ModBus) or

computer (via USB).

1-Output Mode:

3- Update Holding Registers: Writing anything to this register begins a measurement sequence and updates the humidity,

temperature, integration period (if auto-integration is on), and spectrum registers.

5-Number of scans to average:

•

Accepts and number from 0 to 100. Truncates any decimal value to integer.

•

Can also read this register.

7-Integration Time:

•

Accepts any number from 1,000 to 10,000,000. Number sent is desired integration time in microseconds.

•

Sending a zero initiates auto-integration.

•

Can also read this register. Especially useful during auto-integration to log actual integration time.

9-Status Register: Read this register to check the status of the spectroradiometers

•

Returns 0 while measurement is in progress

•

Returns 1 on successful measurement

•

Returns 99 on error
