Operation and Maintenance Manual
3. Reaction points / support positions
Safe and stable counter mounting is essential.
Improper support may lead to damage to the tool
or injury to the operator due to the high reaction
forces generating from the tool.
3.1 Reaction support

Manually push the Link Housing against a solid object (nor-
mally the next nut). Locate a secure system component or a
stationary reaction point.

Tilted reaction support out of the
support area - high hazard potential -
must be strictly avoided!
Dangerous tipping can be caused by the bolting
connection and the manual torque multiplier being
at different heights. For this situation, reduce the
maximum torque of the wrench. Before starting
work, ask your alkitronic® Partner or Alki Technik
GmbH for safe solutions.
If the tool tends to "ride up" or "creep", stop and re-
adjust the reaction area to a more solid and secure
position.
3.2
Using and positioning the alkitronic® / Norwolf
reaction torque arm (DMA)
Depending on the application, a DMA can also be
used optional.
Professional positioning of the alkitronic® / Norwolf
DMA is dependent on the joint. For individual
solutions your alkitronic® Partner or alki TECHNIK
GmbH will gladly advise you.
