Connecting Cables

CAUTION:
When LAN cables are installed outdoors, make sure devices without
proper surge protection are cushioned by being connected through
devices that do have surge protection. Otherwise, the devices can be
damaged by lightning.
1.
Place the printer as shown in the illustration below.
2.
Pull the cover on the printer bottom in the direction of the arrow in
the lower left illustration to remove the cover.
3.
Break off by hand any of the three portions indicated by circles in
the lower right illustration to pass the cables through.
4.
Connect the cables to the printer.
For the position of each connector, see the illustration below.
Note:
Do not remove the buzzer cable from the connector. The printer does
not operate with the buzzer cable disconnected.
