Requirement
1997-04 Corvette with FACTORY RADIO
Introduction
Just because you drive an older car does not mean you have to settle for old
technology. With the iL-C5, corvette owners are able to play and charge any iOS
Lightning devices without sacrificing the radio. The iL-C5 connects to the factory
radio AUX port and replaces the trunk/hatch mounted 12-disc CD changer
(if present), but with the storage capacity of theses Lightning devices,
sacrificing the changer should be an easy decision. The IL-C5 installs behind the
radio cavity using the PXHGM4 harness (See installation 1 below) or to the 10-
pin CD plug in trunk/hatch using the PXHGM2 harness. CD changer in
trunk/hatch (if present) will need to be disconnected and will no longer
function.
Installation 1: (To radio)
Selecting the PXHGM4 harness requires radio removal.
Alternately, if vehicle has a 10-pin CD plug in trunk/hatch;
you may install module without removing radio, This installs
requires selecting the PXHGM2 harness—See installation
2 on page 3.
