Cleaning and storage

Ensure all nuts, bolts and screws are tight and that the

hand guard (2) is fitted correctly.

All damaged and worn parts should be replaced in order to

maintain the hedge trimmer in a safe working condition.

Keep the tool's air vents unclogged and clean at all times.

Remove dust and dirt regularly. Cleaning is best done with

compressed air or a rag. Never use caustic agents to clean

plastic parts.

CAUTION.

Do not use cleaning agents to clean the plastic

parts of the tool. A mild detergent on a damp cloth is

recommended. Water must never come into contact with

the tool.

Special care should be taken when cleaning and adjusting

the blades. This should only be done with the Hedge

Trimmer switched off and disconnected from the mains

supply to prevent injury.

The hedge trimmer should always be stored with the blade

guard fitted and secured in place.

Store the tool, instruction manual and accessories in a

secure and dry place.

Ensure the cable and any

extension cable used are

checked for damage and are

coiled correctly without kinks.

Never spray the machine

down with water and keep dry

at all times.

When not in use the hedge trimmer can be hung on the wall

with a suitable screw and dowel.

If the supply cord needs replacing, the task must be carried

out by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's agent, or an

authorised service centre in order to avoid a safety hazard.
