CAUTION: If the unit has been laid on its back, even for short periods of time, it must be
set upright for at least ½ hour before being plugged in and started up. This gives the
compressor oil and liquid refrigerant sufficient time to re-distribute. Failure to do so can
cause premature compressor failure, and voids the compressor warranty.
If extremely poor road conditions exist, or excessive shock and vibration are expected, take
precautionary measures by padding the unit to provide impact absorption during transport.
CAUTION: Always be careful when moving the AT100S inside a building or home. The
unit weighs 125 lbs., so older structures with weakened floors and staircases may
require special considerations for safe transport.

ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS

The AT100S is a cord-connected unit that uses a standard grounded NEMA 5-15P plug which is
to be connected to a 115 Volt AC 60 Hz grounded electrical receptacle. The supply voltage
should be between 109 and 121 Volts in order for the unit to function as intended. Performance
ratings are determined at 115 Volts. In circumstances where extreme voltage fluctuations exist,
and have not yet been corrected by the electrical utility, the unit is capable of operating between
104 and 126 volts, when necessary.
Due to momentary start-up current surge, the unit may require a dedicated 15 Amp circuit which
is free of other loads. There is a 0 to 10 second random re-start sequence built into the control
logic that prevents simultaneous start-up of multiple units after a power outage and subsequent
re-energization. If the unit was in operation before a power outage, it will be re-started
automatically, but randomly within 10 seconds, when power resumes.
It is recommended that a Ground Fault Current Interrupt (GFCI) device be used in the electrical
supply circuit. A GFCI is an electrical safety device that will trip the circuit and interrupt the
supply of electricity if leakage of current is detected.
Extension cords used for the AT100S must be Certified (UL, CSA as applicable) heavy duty No.
14/3 AWG grounded industrial-grade type. Use of larger numerical gauge (smaller diameter
wire) wire power cord(s) may result in electric shock, fire hazards, and/or damage to the unit.
The cords must be in good condition, in continuous lengths (no splicing) and should not exceed
a length of 50 feet. Make certain that any extension cords used do not reduce power at the unit
to less than the recommended 109 Volts. Use of a voltmeter to confirm voltage is suggested.
Check to ensure that any circuit to which the unit is connected is protected by a maximum 20
Amp circuit breaker.
To avoid personal injury, fire hazards and/or damage to the AT100S electrical system and
power cord, do not connect or disconnect the power cord to an electrical outlet unless the unit is
"OFF".

REQUIREMENTS FOR SAFE OPERATION

Never allow unauthorized individuals or children to operate the unit at any time.
Abatement Technologies urges anyone operating the AT100S to wear the proper personal
protective equipment and follow safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, provincial
and employer regulations.
