INStALLAtION

1. Unpack and set machine upright.

2. Put the machine on a horizontal surface.

3. Place the shredder on top of the wastebasket.

4. Plug in the machine.

5. The socket-outlet should be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessi-

ble.

6. To turn on the shredder, slide the top cover towards the rear of the shredder by placing

both thumbs in the recessed circles located on the top of the shredder.

7. The shredder is now ready to use.

OPERAtION BUttONS AND INDICAtORS

The operation buttons and indicators are situated under the sliding top cover.

- forward button

- reverse button

auto on LeD - lights up when the shredder is ready to use

overheat LeD – lights up when ovearheat occures

overload LeD - lights up when ovearload occures

bin full LeD - lights up when the wastebasket is full

With the sliding Top in the open position, the wastebasket properly inserted into the

shredder cabinet and the power cable plugged in, the shredder is now ready to use. When

the paper is inserted into the shredder's entry, the shredding process starts automatically

and stops when the process is finished.

FEEDING thE ShREDDER

The hc1601 will shred up to 16 sheets of paper and will accept paper widths up to 220

mm. When shredding small material like envelopes, receipts or a credit card insert them

in the middle of the entry. cD's. DVD's should be placed in the designated slot marked for

cDs and DVDs.
