Display a message on your lost device

You can display a custom message on your BlackBerry® device for anyone who finds your device to see, even if your device is locked. On a
locked device, the custom message replaces your wallpaper and any existing owner information that appears on your device screen. On an
unlocked device, the custom message displays in a dialog box.
1.
Log in to the BlackBerry® Protect web site.
2. If necessary, click the arrow icon beside the device picture to select the lost device.
3. Click Display a Message.
4. Type the message that you want to display.
5. Click Display Message.
If your device is turned off or not connected to the wireless network, BlackBerry Protect displays your message the next time that your device
is turned on or connected to the wireless network.

Dismiss the message from your recovered device

Do one of the following:
• If your BlackBerry®device is locked, unlock it.
• If your device is unlocked, in the message dialog box, click Dismiss.
