ELECTRIC HERMETIC BRAKE BLEEDER 15L 3.5bar
5. Set the pressure regulator so that the gauge is at 1.0 bar.
6. Bleed the brake system in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's procedure.
7. When the operation is complete, turn the switch to the OFF position. This reduces the pressure in the
pressure hose, which allows the master cylinder connection to be properly disconnected.
8. Replace the original master cylinder cover.
NOTE: If the HU 1104 does not operate when the switch is ON, check the fuse on the top of the unit. Replace
it if necessary or contact the After-Sales Service.
PRACTICAL ADVICES
After installing the appropriate master cylinder tank connection and connecting the electric brake bleed
valve, you can begin the bleed operation. Open one bleed nipple at a time until the brake fluid flows clean
and bubble-free.
To better see the brake fluid flow and to ensure the cleanliness of the workshop, we recommend using the
recovery metering bottle. This:
1. helps you to see the liquid as it drains away;
2. helps you keep the workshop floor clean;
3. allows you to easily discard brake fluid;
4. gives you a correct indication for invoicing the customer.
After a complete overhaul of the hydraulic brake system, we recommend that all traps be opened
simultaneously, so that air can escape through the path of least resistance. This process eliminates back
pressure and any possibility that the new fluid may mix with contaminated brake fluid remaining in the
system. When the liquid flows clean and bubble-free, close the drain nipples and tighten them one after the
other, checking twice for tightness.
During this pressure bleeding, it is advisable to gently depress the brake or clutch pedal several times to
ensure complete air and fluid drainage between the first and second chambers of the master cylinder.
Fixed calipers can be equipped with several bleed valves that may require a larger than normal volume of
brake fluid to bleed these systems. Each purge valve must be purged one after the other.
For brake systems with load-sensitive brake force regulators, the hydraulic connection to the wheel cylinders
connected to the regulator can be blocked when the axles have no load (i.e. the axle is lifted). In this case,
the axles must be loaded (see manufacturer's instructions) to properly bleed or replace the brake fluid.
Caution: In brake systems with hydraulic brake servo, the brake systems operate with brake fluid, and the
hydraulic brake servo system with hydraulic oil. These two liquids must not be used in place of each other!
