Limit to 30 fps – if your video input is 60 fps, limiting your
streaming to 30 fps will improve quality in most cases.
Latency Mode – only "Normal" is currently available.
Encoding Mode – Fixed or Variable. Variable allows the encoder to
"burst" data at a higher rate to maintain quality, but may not be
ideal for some networks. Fixed is the preferred mode.
Key Frame Interval – Determines how often a MPEG GOP I frame
and H264 "IDR" is produced. More key frames allow decoders to
start the video sooner, but reduces compression efficiency. Value
of 2 to 10 seconds is recommended depending on bit rate.
Video Encoding and Rate – Only H264 is available. The output bit
rate is set in Kbps (e.g. 1000 Kbps = 1 Mbps).
H.264 Profile – select Baseline, Main, or High profile. Generally,
lower bit rates should use Baseline, medium rates use Main, and
higher rates use High. High profile also puts more burden on the
decoding players.
Audio Encoding – Only Advanced Audio Codec Low Complexity
(AAC-LC) is available. The audio sampling rate is always 48 KHz.
The audio bit rate determines the quality of the audio. 128 Kbps is
a good choice for most uses.
Output Settings
The Output Settings is
where you configure
the Hornet to get
instructions from the
Discover Video DEVOS
or DVExpress system.
Copy the URL from
DEVOS to the RTMP
Output area as shown and select Apply then OK.
This setting will automatically set all other settings except for Decoder
settings.
