1. Carefully unpack the unit and remove all packaging materials
before initial use.
2. Unwrap the power cord at the back of the unit.
3. Check that the rated voltage is the same as stated on the label
on the back of the unit. Connect the appliance to a suitable
electric socket.
Before using the pizza oven for the fi rst time, it's advisable to wash the unit and all accessories.
For cleaning instructions, see 'Cleaning' section later in this manual. Do not immerse the base in
water or any other liquid.
NOTE: It's normal for most heating appliances to produce an odour and/or smoke when
used for the fi rst time due to a protective coating on the heating element.
To remove any remaining coating from the heating elements follow the simple procedure below.
It's recommended to remove the pizza stone for this procedure.
1. Plug pizza oven into suitable electric socket.
2. Set the temperature knob to 450°F.
3. Set the timer to 10 minutes, and allow the unit to heat for the set time.
4. After the heating cycle open the door to allow any smoke that may have accumulated, and
allow the unit to cool.
