Product description
The Patient stool AK 470 is designed to serve as an electric height adjustable examination and
treatment stool. The top swivels and locks mechanically every 90°.
The stool is controlled by 2 or 3 function foot switches or through a compatible examination unit.
Options:
Power: 110 / 120 Volts 50 / 60 Hz
Seat: round, low backrest, high backrest

Installation and Set up
If the stool is intended to be connected directly to the examination unit, the connection must
be done only by a trained service technician.
o Place stool at its designated position. If necessary, level uneven floor.
o Check rotation area of top for any obstructions.
o Check automatic fuse unit for IN position.
o Connect foot switch to appropriate socket. (Plugs are configured to avoid mix up's).
o Connect power cord.

Operation
Stool height is adjustable through either foot switch or calipers on examination unit. The left
section on foot switch controls UP, the right section DOWN movements. The optional center
switch drives the AUTO Reset function. Just briefly press center switch for AUTO Down
movement.
Pressing the left (UP) section will interrupt the AUTO Reset function.
The electric motor is protected by an integrated thermo protection switch. After 1 minutes of
continued operation, the motor needs a cool down period of approx. 9 minutes. If the thermo
protection switch activates, the motor needs a cool down period of approx. 20 minutes

Maintenance
The product is maintenance free for the end user however, bleed current and leak resistance
need to be checked every other year or as directed by local laws.
