The best operator is a CAREFUL operator !!!!!
3.1
Your Anderson loader has been designed to be very safe to operate. However it should not be used for
any other operations than the ones it has been designed for. This loader includes metallic moving parts, a
powerful hydraulic system and probably a gasoline motor. These elements can cause a serious injury. Read
thoroughly the following safety precautions and follow them carefully.
3.2 Before you begin !
3.2.1 Procedures and precautions : Before you operate your loader, be familiar with the operations
your loader can do. Before starting the motor of your unit (or tractor) make sure that all controls are in the off
position. You must especially know how to make an emergency stop and be able to cut off the power quickly.
Wear a safety helmet, safety glasses, and a good set of hearing
or damage due to a continuous exposure of noise from the motor noise.
3.2.2 Danger Zone : You must take into consideration the reach of the boom and the length of the
logs visualize a danger zone of 33 feet (10 meters) diameter all around the loader. You must at all times keep
everyone back behind this danger zone perimeter. Do not let anyone disturb you during the operation of your

parts. Keep the protective screens or any other security features in place and replace them if they have been
damaged or removed.
Only let a responsible person who has had the proper training operate your machine. Check out
the local regulations that are being enforced concerning minors operating this machine for forestry or agricultural
use. Check to see if the location of the emergency telephone numbers, the fire extinguisher and the first aid kits
are well known by all operators.
3.2.4 Fuel ! Gasoline is by nature a very flammable substance. Handle it with care in a certified
container whenever you fill the gas tank of your machine, your ATV or your tractor. Replace and tighten firmly
the gas cap of the gas tank. Wipe off any gasoline that may have spilled. NEVER add gas when your unit's
motor is hot or running. Always have close at hand a certified fire extinguisher whenever you are operating this
machine.
3.2.5 Hydraulic Oil ! If you are using a tractor and if the hydraulic hoses pass through the cabin or
close to the operator it will be necessary to install a protective barrier to protect the operator if a hose breaks. All
pressurize oil leaks can cause very serious injuries to the operator. Never use your hands to check for a leak but
use instead a piece of cardboard.
