CLEANING

To maximize the efficiency of the kettle, clean and descale it

regularly.

1. Switch off, unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely.

2. Press the lid button to open the lid and press downwards on

the lip of the filter to unclip as below Fig. 1 & 2.

3. Clean the filter under a running tap while gently brushing with

a soft nylon brush to remove the scale.

4. Descale with a proprietary descaler suitable for kettles and

use in accordance with the instructions on the pack.

Alternatively, half fill the kettle with water and add the juice

of one lemon. Boil the kettle and allow it to stand for 15

minutes. Repeat this last step a further two times before

discarding the solution.

5. After descaling, fill the kettle to the maximum level, bring to

the boil and then discard the water.

6. Refit the filter. Support the filter with the fingers and hook the

bottom of the filter over retaining lip at the base of the spout.

Then click the top of the filter under the top lip of the spout

(Fig. 3).

7. Wipe external surfaces with a soft damp cloth; do not use

detergents or abrasives as these may scratch the surface.
