Using the wrench
Trigger switch
Use the forward/reverse switch
(4) to select the direction of
rotation, then pull the trigger
(3). This trigger switch is an
electronic variable speed control
which enables the user to
vary the speed continuously.
The speed varies according
to how far the trigger switch is
depressed. The further it is depressed the faster the output
Drive will rotate and the lighter it is depressed, the slower it
will rotate.
To stop the wrench, release the trigger switch.
Note.
The variable Speed control fitted to this wrench is
NOT intended to be used for long periods of time during
the operation of the task being performed. Use the variable
speed to start the screwing tasks, and then fully depress the
trigger once the task has started.
CAUTION.
Extended use of the variable speed under load will
overload and then permanently damage the speed control.
Forward/reverse switch
Note.
You can only change
the direction of rotation of the
wrench using the forward/reverse
switch when the trigger is NOT
depressed.
This switch (4) will allow you to
change the direction of the motor
while the trigger switch is not
depressed.
Using forward direction enables screws, nuts and bolts to
be tightened.
Using reverse directions enables the screws, nuts or bolts to
be loosened or removed.
Impact driver attachment
The ID182 is supplied with an
impact driver attachment. This
allows the impact wrench to be
used as a impact driver where
standard 6.35mm (1/4 inch) screw
driver bits and nut drivers can be
fitted.
It is recommended when
purchasing screw driver bits or
nut drivers for impact drivers, always select good quality
bits. Also, it is suggested to purchase these bits with the
machined retainer undercut as shown to secure the bit
inside the sleeve chuck.
To fit the impact driver attachment
The impact driver attachment is a
direct fit on to the square shaft of
the impact wrench.
Alight the square of the adaptor
with the square of the impact
wrench. Slide the large sliding
sleeve towards the driver chuck
and then push the adaptor fully
on the shaft or the impact wrench.
Release the sleeve and check
the adaptor is located in place on
the shaft.
