Turn ONtheJUMP START O N/OFF switch and then turn keyand crank

theengine. Iftheengine d oes not s tart w ithin 5-8seconds, stop cranking

and wait a tleast 1 minute b efore a ttempting tostart v ehicle a gain. This

permits thebattery t ocool d own.

After t heengine s tarts, make sure toturn OFF theJump Start s witch.

Then disconnect theblack c lamp (-)andthen theredclamp (+)inthat

order.

CAUTION: Toprevent sparking while the950 jump start s witch isinthe

ONposition, NEVER a llow theclamps t otouch together ortocontact the

same piece ofmetal. Never attempt tocharge a frozen battery.

front o fthe950 totheDISPLAY position. The display wilt s how thecharge

percentage oftheinternal battery.

When connected tothevehicle, thedisplay s hows t hevehicle's battery

voltage. When connected and intheON position, thedisplay s hows t he

equalized voltage b etween thevehicle's battery a ndinternal battery. If

thedisplay b utton i spressed, thebattery p ercentage

isshown ( instead o f

voltage).

ThePortable Power 950isa power source f orall12voltDCaccessories

thatareequipped witha 12V accessory plug. T heDCaccessory outlet

hasa 15-amp a utomatic overload protection circuit breaker. The breaker

wilt a utomatically

reset a fter a noverload occurs.

To Operate a 12V DC Device:

• Open the protective cover of the DC power outlet on the front panel of the

Portable Power 950.

• Plug the 12V DC device into the DC power outlet, and turn the 12V DC

device "ON" (if required).

If the 12V DC device draws more than 15A, the internal circuit breaker of

the Portable Power 950 wilt momentarily disconnect power to the device.

If this occurs, unplug the device and the circuit breaker will automatically

reset after several seconds.

• The DC power outlet is internally wired directly to the internal battery.

Extended operation of a 12V DC device may result in excessive battery

drain. Recharge immediately after unplugging the device.
