This command displays the results of diagnostic tests for the supervisor and all modules. It is very important
to understand that the show test command only displays the results of diagnostics on the last bootup of the
switch or a reset of the supervisor or modules. If the diagnostics for one module are required, issue the show
test <mod #> command for this information.
If you are running 5.4.1 or later, check the status of the diaglevel by issuing the show test diaglevel
command. A complete status test of the Encoded Address Recognition Logic (EARL), port
loopback/bundle/inline rewrite, and DRAM/NVRAM/External cache is recommended. This test takes about
one minute versus 30 seconds for a test level of minimal. But, it is more thorough. Results are output with a .
for pass or F for fail, which indicates a hardware failure.
