Introduction

The SC13XX multi-angle camera is specifically designed to provide a close-up view of

sewer pipe walls by utilizing a rotating camera head. The camera head can be outfitted

with lightheads that illuminate the sewer walls as the camera head moves. The SC13XX

can be used in sanitary sewers and storm drains that are between 6 and 120 inches in

diameter.

The camera rotates and pans back and forth, thus increasing efficiency of lateral

connection inspections. When the operator at the control station pushes the "Home" button

on the CCU, the camera head assembly returns to front-center, looking down the pipe.

The camera was designed to be used with a self-propelled mobile transporter. The electric

power and control signals for the camera, its light, and the transporter are transmitted

through a 1/4-inch O.D. single-conductor armored coaxial cable.

The body of the Single Conductor Model SC13XX camera is pressurized at the factory.

This is done with nitrogen to prevent moisture from entering the body and damaging the

internal electronics and/or interfering with their proper operation. The internal pressure is

constantly monitored and can be displayed on the video screen. Whenever the camera

body is opened or its seal is in any way broken, the body must be re-pressurized. Field

pressurization is accomplished using the Nitrogen Pressure Assembly, P/N 150062, which

is included in the

Nitrogen Pressurization Kit, P/N 950011 (not

included).
