SURROUND EDIT OPERATION (cu operation)

@ If you press the SURR EDIT button on a function operation

display, display switches to "SURROUND

EDIT" indications

for the currently selected surround

mode.

(Press the EXIT

button to return to the original function operation display.)

® Onthe SURROUND EDIT display, you can adjust levels, switch

10 the center mode, and adjust delay time.

{When using DOLBY PRO LOGIC)

[LEVEL ADJUSTMENT

Example: When using DOLBY PRO LOGIC

1. Press the CENTER MODE

button to select the Center

2, Press the TEST TONE button to switch the test tone on.

The test tone is output from each of the speakers in the

following order,

'a Front Left —-~-----» Center oat

Surround (Rear) «———--—- Front Right

3. Adjust so that the volume level is the same from each of

the speakers.

® Use the CENTER LEVEL +, ~ buttons to adjust the center

speaker volume level. +3

Use the REAR

LEVEL

+, - buttons to adjust the rear

speakers volume level. *4

4. Press the TEST TONE button to switch the test tone OFF.

NOTE:

*1 You can select the CENTER MODE when using DOLBY PRO

LOGIC SURROUND and DOLBY 3CH LOGIC.

When using DOLBY 3CH LOGIC, you can switch between

NORMAL and WIDE settings.

*2 When the CENTER MODE button is PHANTOM position, no

test tone is output from the center speaker.

*3 Only when using DOLBY PRO LOGIC SURROUND and DOLBY

3CH LOGIC, can you adjust the CENTER LEVEL.

*¢ When using DOLBY 3CH LOGIC, the REAR speakers are not

used.

You can only adjust delay time for DOLBY

PRO LOGIC

SURROUND, SIMULATED SURROUND and ARENA,

Each time you press the +, — buttons, delay time changes as

follows:

18 ms <———*

20 ms <@-——-® 25 ms @—--& 30 ms

The standard setting is 20 ms, but you can select any setting of

your choice.
