Start the sander:

Stand directly behind the sander.

Grip one or both of the control levers securely.

Press the Interlock button.
When the motor starts, release the interlock, but

keep at least one of the control levers pressed
upward.
Slowly move the sander across the surface of the floor.
The pad will rotate quickly, so it is not necessary to move
with the grain of the wood as it is with the drum sander. The

square shape of the pad should allow you to cover the entire
floor, including the edges.
Note: Keep the sander in motion while the motor is
running to avoid damage and swirling.

When finished, release the control levers to stop the
machine.
Note: Empty the filter bag frequently to prevent a fire hazard.
Check the bag periodically to make sure it does not fill
up. Never leave the sander unattended without emptying
the bag first.
