DISASSEMBLY
These instructions describe only how this tool works. Always observe the manufacturer's assembly and disassembly
speci cations. Before removing the old bushing, it may be a good idea to mark its assembly position and direction
and then make said marks on the new bushing to ensure a perfect assembly.
1. Release or remove the vehicle's component so that you will be able to easily position the removal and insertion
tools (a leaf spring, for example: removal of the leaning support/lowering of the axle, etc.).
2. Route the thrust screw through the hole of the bushing to be removed until it protrudes slightly from the other end.
Note: before each use, lubricate the thrust screw with the grease provided.
3. Choose the appropriate support ring, depending on the outside diameter of the bushing to be removed,
and insert it above the thrust screw's protruding end. The support ring's open side should face the bushing to be
removed.
Note: when choosing the support ring, be sure it presses exactly on the bushing's metal coating.
4. Choose a support socket of the suitable size, place it on the step plate and insert it on the thrust screw, on the
front. Place the socket so that you can clearly see the inspection window.
Note: when choosing the socket, make sure that, during the disassembly, the bushing to be removed will t and
slide properly. In addition, you should have an adequate support surface to be able to position the support socket
properly.
