Navigating and Setting Up the EOS 50D

the Direct transfer screen from

which you can select which images

to transfer to the computer and in

what order. During image transfer,

the button blinks a blue light. When

the transfer is ﬁ nished, the button

is lit continuously in blue.

The EOS 50D viewﬁ nder is an eye-

level pentaprism with approxi-

mately 95 percent vertical and

horizontal coverage, and that

means that you see 5 percent less

of the scene than the sensor cap-

tures. The viewﬁ nder uses the Ef-A

focusing screen. With the Eyecup

pressed against your eye, the ﬂ exi-

ble rubber cup helps prevent stray

light from entering the viewﬁ nder.
