the Direct transfer screen from
which you can select which images
to transfer to the computer and in
what order. During image transfer,
the button blinks a blue light. When
the transfer is fi nished, the button
is lit continuously in blue.

Viewfi nder eyepiece and Eyecup.
The EOS 50D viewfi nder is an eye-
level pentaprism with approxi-
mately 95 percent vertical and
horizontal coverage, and that
means that you see 5 percent less
of the scene than the sensor cap-
tures. The viewfi nder uses the Ef-A
focusing screen. With the Eyecup
pressed against your eye, the fl exi-
ble rubber cup helps prevent stray
light from entering the viewfi nder.
